Purpose
At Abilia, we protect the integrity of the individuals whose personal data we have access to. As an individual, you should feel safe with the way that we manage your personal data in a secure manner. Therefore, we have prepared this policy based on current data protection legislation. The purpose is to describe how we work to protect individuals’ rights and integrity, how we process your personal data, what we use them for, who has access to them and under what conditions.
The collection of personal data
Our approach is to not process more personal data than is necessary for the purpose, and we strive to always use the least integrity-sensitive information. At Abilia, we will collect your consent when so legally required before we begin to process your personal data. Below are examples of situations where your personal data will be collected:
Courses
We collect information in connection with application to our courses. The purpose for, and use of, this information is to provide good service and feedback/information to the course participant. If the course participant does not want personal data to be saved, then all data will be deleted immediately after the course has ended.
Support tasks
We collect information during the application of service, support and repair tasks. The purpose is to help and provide feedback in an effective manner, as well as to follow up on tasks. This is all done in order to provide the best possible service.
Newsletter
We collect information during the application to our Newsletter. The newsletter contains information about how to deregister a subscription.

We also have access to personal data in the following way:
- Information that we obtain from public registers
- Information that we obtain when someone contacts us, applies for employment with us or visits us
- Information in customer and supplier agreements that have been entered into

Which personal data do we process?
At Abilia, we only process personal data when we have a legal basis to do so. We do not process personal data unless required in order to fulfil contractual and legal obligations, or to provide a service or feedback. Below are examples of the personal data that we may process:
- Name
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Title
- Username
- Organisation/company
- Photographs/video
- IP address
- Information that is given voluntarily and by one’s own accord
- Content that the individual publishes on their own, so-called user generated content
Which information is shared?
When we actively collect personal data for the first time, or an individual submits their information, the individual is informed that the information will be processed according to current legislation. We also provide information via our homepage on how to contact the persons responsible for the personal data processing, should individuals have any questions or demands regarding the personal data and/or rights.
Is personal data processed in a reassuring manner?
At Abilia, we value our contact persons’ integrity, and we implement our work and procedures in order to ensure that personal data is managed in a secure manner. Our approach is that only people within the organisation who require the personal data in order to conduct their work shall have access to the personal data.
With regards to sensitive personal data (that the person has submitted themself), we have established specific authorisation restrictions, which entails a higher protection of the personal data.
Our security systems have been developed with a focus on individuals’ integrity, and provides a high level of protections against intrusion, distortion and other changes that may entail a risk to the integrity.
We have an IT security policy in order to ensure that electronically stored personal data is processed safely.
When do we share personal data?
When we are legally obligated to share information with a responsible inspection authority, such as e.g. the Swedish Tax Agency, we share as little information as possible. Abilia may engage external partners and suppliers to perform services on behalf of Abilia, e.g. to provide IT services or to assist in analysis or statistics. The fulfilment of these services may entail such parties, both within and outside of the EU/EEA, obtaining access to your personal data. Companies which are processing personal data on behalf of Abilia are obliged to sign a confidentiality agreement with Abilia in order to ensure a high level of protection for your personal data. Even in these cases, we ensure that as little information as possible is shared.
Your personal data rights
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. In such a case, we will no longer process your personal data or collect new information, provided this is not required in order to fulfil our contractual or legal obligations. You are entitled to request current information, to change your information and to have the possibility to be removed from our register.

Liability
Abilia is responsible for personal data, which means that we are liable for the manner in which the personal data is processed and for ensuring that individuals’ rights are protected.
