Assessment centres

The Assessment centre will be able to evaluate the communication needs, based on motor abilities, literacy, cognition, vision and lifestyle. Evaluations are conducted by specialists such as Speech and Language Therapists (SLT) or Occupational Therapists (OT). This could include the way the device is carried or mounted, alternative access methods such as a switch, or a deep keyguard to support lack of muscle control in the arms.

The assessment centers displayed below mainly relates to Environmental Control Systems and Communication Aids.

Training and product loans may be part of the evaluation , in order to ensure that the Assistive Technology identified is the best system for to the individual, adapted to personal and social environments.
